1 AverageI checked in to find cockroaches, mould, cigarette burns on the sheets, and hairs and sweat stains on the pillows. i then flicked the hot water switch in the bathroom and was electrocuted. i am lucky to have survived, if it was an elderly person who knows what could have happened. i tried to check out for fear of my safety and was offered no apology or refund, and lodged a complaint with bookingdotcom, i have now discovered that the hotel has hacked my booking account and left a 10/10 review in my name. this indicates all their other reviews must be fake and explains everything. i have reported the hotel to kolkata police, not only is this hotel unsafe for guests but it is clearly full of scammers and criminals - please be careful. i have been to india 8 times and have never encountered a situation like this before, i truly hope it doesn't happen to anyone else.Aimee Bristow, 24 Oct
