"Except Room Cleanliness nothing was even average. Far Far from being termed as Fabulous in any respect. Had enquired parking since beginning from helpline number and even hotel all termed Yes. But there is no safe parking available with them , neither assistance given by them for parking. Only sentence being told us to park on road wherever u find space if any . No Lift service , a hard thing for senior citizen to climb three sets of stairs for room. No reception but only money collection booth . Even for any trivial room service like water bottle else tea at room we will have to remind again and again and would take not less than 20 min , but will disturb you at night for payment to settle of even one water bottle. Then also they do not have any funda of morning tea. For complimentary breakfast u will have to go on ground floor cafe which have got different entrance. For lunch and dinner a different place that is u will have to go a ground floor , then again climb first floor to have pathetic lunch or dinner . We had to stay 03 nights with 2 rooms for had booked online on good faith and had made advance payment . Even during check in when we reached hotel seeing reception which was not from any class to be termed as reception , low floor roof...Except Room Cleanliness nothing was even average. "With ref to my Booking ID : ZFFSY9, we had stayed at Fabexpress Kalyan Hotel, Vadodara, Gujarat for 2 days from 6th to 8th jun 2019. But it was extremely pathetic experience. First of all when we checked in at Hotel, no body was present on reception counter. Receptionist was sleeping in store room area, when i shouted 2-3 times, he (RAJESH SHARMA) came to counter and checked my booking in his mobile app. As i had paid only part payment in advance, he asked me to pay rest amount immediately. As i was with my family (wife & daughter), I requested him to allot a room first so that ladies can seat there. But he refused it and so rudely asked me to pay full payment first. When i paid full payment and completed booking process in his register, he allotted us a room. But the room was not ready as per my booking. I have already booked a room for 3 person but there wasn't any extra bed. When i asked for an extra bed, after long wait he provided. But there wasn't any pillow and blanket for extra bed. It was useless to provide details in advance and talking to hotel person in advance. Actual bed size is much smaller than it seems in photograph, the wooden bed is much smaller and they have putted very big matress on it. But its useless. As the both ends of the matress are in air, it doesn't have any wooden base. On next day morning when we asked for tea and complimentary breakfast in room, they refused to provide it in room. They have a restaurant at Ground floor, so they told us to go downstair for tea. When we reached to restaurent, he asked us for the coupon for breakfast, which we were supposed to get from Hotel reception, but receptionist didnt told us about it when we came downstair for breakfast. We were having four bags in our luggage, but at the time of checkout no any person came to drop luggage. So rude those people are and there is nothing like management, no any coordintion between Hotel and restaurent."

"This place is clean and nice to stay but the owner is rude. I had informed them I work till late night and sleep during the day so when I put DND tag, please don't knock and wake me up but they woke me up almost everyday for room cleaning. I denied once or twice. But later again it happened...and I let them clean the room. But the housekeeper didn't even collect the garbage. What kind of cleaning it was. And the owner said, we know you are wokring till late night but we need to clean the rooms as after checkout, if the room is dirty, it becomes difficult to clean. So he was worried about that and not about keeping it clean when someone is staying in the room. They charge Rs. 40 for tea and tea was not so good. Inspite of telling, need ginger tea, I never found ginger. They have this policy of not letting the guests visit the people staying at the hotel but it's not mentioned anywhere online while booking and if anyone they find has come to meet you, they speak soo rudely as if the person did some crime by visiting the guest. The reception staff was rude except Parul. She is a sweet receptionist. Overall this hotel is ok to stay for a day or 2. But would not really recommend."

"What was good-Honestly, there is nothing to like in this property other than the Locality. It is conveniently situated near railway station. so walk out of the hotel and you are in the market. That's about it. What was bad- Oh there were countless points which they could modify or improve : 1) No LIFT in the hotel ; Getting Built...So definitely not fit for elder people 2) Rooms were too small but still the same could have been managed with better service 3) Breakfast - there were only 2 options other than beverages : a) Bread Butter or b) Puri Bhaji (you could have given few more options) 4) We took 2 Rooms ; In one room, you open the Main Door and you can see the Wash Room which is made of Glass. So If a person close to 6 feet taking a bath like myself, you can watch me front door till NECK and then again from FEET. The body portion is covered with STICKERS on the Glass. This was very uncomfortable for the ladies. 5) HOT WATER only available during EVENING for Shower 6) Room Service : If you call 10 times, the chances are someone might take your call ONCE ; Most of the times there was no one in Reception"

"The following deficiencies make the hotel (costing Rs.1500/- plus) below normal ratings: 1. No lift and steep & narrow staircase. No assistance from hotel to carry luggage 2. Dirty lobbies due to renovation work (hotel should close when under renovation, but they won't) 3. Bathroom window glass missing, peeping from the other side is easy.You can easily remove the whole window making it prone for theft also!!!! 4. WiFi was not given 5. No tea/coffee facility or kettle in the room 6. Poor room service 7. No trained manpower!!! 8. 1 litre water provided to two people!!!! 9. Only very limited breakfast against promised buffet breakfast. You are allowed to chose between fruit juice(only pineapple) and tea, not both. 10. Very mediocre restaurant and cafe. 11. Over-all, professionalism is completely missing."

"We checked into the room on 7 the October around 8pm . We were allotted room no 201. The room is towards road side couldn't sleep because of horns and Garbha music . We requested the manager on 8 the to shift the room as the previous night we couldn't sleep, inppite of vacancy of rooms the manager didn't shift our room. Again on 8 the night barking of dogs and Durga immersion full drums and sounds . This all because of the attitude of the manager who is not able to understand Customers problem. Finally we left the room with 2 sleepless nights. Hope u will take necessary action in this regardRegarding restaurant we are very sorry to comment that the person n l in the restaurant are serving the food as if they are giving food to Refugees. Let them know that we paid for it ."

"Being a regular visitor to baroda for business purposes, have tried almost all hotels around railway stations. Tried fabexpress kalyan for the first time and i must say m absolutely satisfied. Clean rooms, well ventilated, impeccable room service, 2 balconies and sumptuous breakfast with multiple options and it's just bang for your bucks. Have decided to be regular customer. Special mention of the courteous and professional demenour of mr. Kazi. I was about to give 1 star less for lack of elevator but his nature and fact that elevator is gonna b functional within few days compelled me to give 5 stars wout hesitation. Recommended wholeheartedly."

"One of the worst experience I had. I had booked the venue for my friend's marriage. The guests were to arrive. There were total 6 rooms booked by me on triple occupancy. The hotel management denied providing extra mattresses during daytime. Though they told us that they will keep it in the rooms by 11pm. We went for the marriage and when we returned at 1am we found out not even a single mattress was placed. Afterwhich I asked the hotel staff to place The mattress to which he denied. I had to argue with the day manager for half an hour and finally the mattresses we're kept at 2am. Worst experience. Never booking Fab hotels again."

"The room was not good, the chair had stains on them.i was not at all given the WiFi password. Water also i had to ask for. There was no lift in the property. Yesterday evening when i went to my room on the second floor or was pitch dark and no lights were on. I had to light the mobile torch and then open my room. It was very creepy. I had asked for tea but immediately after sometime someone came for the payment. The room rent was taken in advance which was surprising for me as generally it is taken at the time of checkout. I would not recommend this property to anyone. Highly dissapointed"

"1.Once it took 1hr and 25 min to serve tea and snack finally I had to cancel the order and go out to have it. 2. Food was tvery highly priced with respect to quality and quantity. Quality of dinner items are were bad. 3.Free breakfast was limited in variety ,portion quantity was small and limited. 4. Restaurant and adjacent kitchen was shabby and dirty. 5. They consciously try to skip daily free water bottle. Even if you ask for it in the evening after coming back from work, they doubt your claim. This had happened with me in three days. 6. Room was good and comfortable."

"I took two rooms 104, 102 1)your check in time is 12 noon ...it's pathetic..who will come to ur hotel at 12 noon in 40+ temp summer 2)counter person was not entertaining .me and family reach to hotel at 7 am.he took 300 extra to give room. Then he said rooms were available hence get gave otherwise I would have to wait till 12. 3) washroom window of room 104 does not have cover.its totally open .can some one believe. 4)food quality was not that good 5)I would not refer to any one of my friend circle about Fab hotel.not worth paying 1600 ."

"Very nice place. This place is years old. The exterior and the interior has not changed much so whenever we go there, it is like we have come to a known place. The sitting arrangement is much different then other restaurants. It has regular and high sitting options. The menu is good provides a variety of cusine. The taste has always been good. This time what i liked more is that the cashier who takes orders as well was very cooperative and helped choose the items depending on the taste. Overall a good place and will continue to visit."

"I stayed 4 days in fab express Hotel Kalyan Vadodara. Staff is worst. They treat us just like beggers. No any proper respect they provide. Even in the dining hall, they not provide even glass of water. Staff is too rude and worst. Generally all hotels taken money after check out. They take in check in time and then behave not properly in stay time. Don't go in fab express hotel Kalyan,sayajiganj Vadodara. Foor quality is very poor. They provide juice with mixing full of water. Worst experience i ever had."

"The grills in the bathroom were falling apart. The bath room door was completely see through.. no latch in room door.. balcany was locked out of bound for guests. The air conditioner was were working only if you pressed a certain set of buttons. No dinner available at hotel (why do u call it a hotel don't know).. no lift to reach rooms..only a small cafe to provide food...and the manager was adamant to tell us the short comings before we start staying.. I will never want to stay in fab hotels again"

"If you're not physically fit then this hotel is not for you because no lift is there and no staff is there who can put your luggage to your room. I think they have forget to mention its a SELF SERVICE hotel. Rooms and washroom are clean, no complaints about cleanliness. Even location is also very good, its in the city center. Please fill up the reception desk its remain empty most of the time. Overall I can say if I have not booked the hotel on prepaid basis then definitely I will switch."

"Service of the staff was just exceptional - from the manager to the restaurant staff to the reception, everyone went out of their way to be helpful and attentive. Small gestures such as helping with calling a Doctor, or checking on needs of our children showed a genuine interest from the staff in being helpful. For example, the food had not been prepared as expected and the staff immediately replaced the item with an alternate without anything."
