Satara Road is a major arterial road in Pune which connects the city centre to Mumbai-Bengaluru Highway (NH 48) through Katraj- Dehu Bypass Road (NH 65). At its northern end is Jedhe Chowk in Swargate, which is also the busiest junction on the road because of its heavily-trafficked state transport bus depot – the largest in the city. Towards the south, the road passes through various suburbs and junctions like Bibwewadi, Dhankawadi and Katraj, all the way up to Satara. The thoroughfare is lined with all requisite facilities including restaurants, shops, hospitals, banks, hotels and more to ensure that travellers have a hassle-free experience. Hotels on Satara Road, Pune cater to all sorts of travellers, including budget-conscious and business travellers.
Travellers can find many shops, brand outlets, commercial buildings, markets and shopping malls peppered along this long stretch of road and its nearby localities. In addition, Satara Road hotels offer easy access to many restaurants, cafes, dhabas, bars and fast food joints. Some of the best places to eat on Satara Road include McDonald’s, Domino’s Pizza, Sambar Pure Veg, Hotel Utsav Deluxe, The Good Bowl, Navaratana Veg, Mandarin Oak, Café Bistro and Zakaas Misal Express.
Travellers staying at hotels on Satara Road get easy access to many Pune attractions, including Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park, Katraj Lake, Bagul Udyan and Yashwantrao Chavan Garden.
Commuting is not an issue as this route has been developed as a Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) route by Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC). Apart from buses, taxis are also readily available to travel to different localities along the route. There are even plans to develop a metro corridor on this route in the near future. For those coming from neighbouring cities or states, it is easiest to reach Pune hotels along Satara Road via Swargate Bus Depot. Pune Railway Station also offers easy access to the road. However, Pune International Airport is located on the other end of the city, and it can take anywhere from 40 minutes to 2 hours or even more for travellers to reach the hotels on the road.
Exceptional Experience I recently had the pleasure of staying at HOTEL DECCAN 8 and I must say, it was truly unforgettable! Restaurant staff. Very friendly and helpful. We had a good night sleep after a long flight. Great WiFi. We had a short stay, leaving early in the morning.
Great place to stay, very welcoming staff, always here to help ! The rooms are amazing, very clean. Great restaurant
Absolutely no words to say!! I am just stunned with the excellent service quality of the property. Will be coming back soon. Three cheers to the entire staff who made my stay a pleasurable experience. Thank you
Third class receptionist . Extremely unprofessional and rude. Very bad experience
Terrible Experience Wouldnt Recommend I recently stayed here for 3 nights, and it turned out to be a complete nightmare. The room was extremely dirty, and shockingly, the bed sheets hadnt been changed for over a month. Despite repeatedly requesting the staff to change the bedsheets and pillow covers, they charged me extra for it. To make matters worse, the fresh linens they provided were also dirty and had a terrible smell. The bathroom was in a horrible conditionunclean and poorly maintained. There was a severe staff shortage, with only one person managing everything, leading to poor service overall. The water shortage at night was especially frustrating and made the stay even more uncomfortable. I would strongly advise against staying here, as the hygiene, service, and basic facilities are far below acceptable standards.
Bed bugs, stained bedsheet, foul smell in the room, No response from reception for bedsheet change and room change request.
