An offshoot of Mumbai Metropolis, Kharghar lies on the northern end of Raigad district. It is a smart city developed by CIDCO, located away from the crowded neighborhoods of the city of Mumbai (28 km), yet not very far from them. Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (35 km) is the closest airport to Kharghar. Kharghar Railway Station on the Harbour Line connects the area to Mumbai city through the suburban rail network. To reach the township from Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) Local Train Station, it will take around 65 minutes. Several buses are run by NMMT and BEST, and private taxis are also available for traveling between Kharghar and Mumbai localities. While the Eastern Freeway connects Kharghar to Mumbai, it can be easily accessed from cities like Pune, Nashik, Kalyan, and Thane as well, by road.

    "SCAM ALERT - Extortions for Coldplay Concert Our booking (confirmed on 23rd October) for a two day stay over the weekend of the concert happening, was cancelled one month later due to "technical issues". Initial cost of room per night was INR 9000 per night. And suddenly one month later Fab Express team have woken up to the strategy of making is INR 57,000 per night. Their words "pay extra or we will not honour your confirmed booking". The receptionist at the property himself stated a bold "YES" when I asked him have you not suddenly changed the price because of the Coldplay concert. Blames flying all over the place - "talk to booking.com" or "pay us more and we'll reserve it again". My humble request to those who see this review - you might like the property, the prices sound nice to you BUT don't empower these scammy profiteers over human spirit. Do not allow these scam money making machines to leech of honest people travelling just to get a break from the hectic lives."
