"I checked in to find cockroaches, mould, cigarette burns on the sheets, and hairs and sweat stains on the pillows. I then flicked the hot water switch in the bathroom and was electrocuted. I am lucky to have survived, if it was an elderly person who knows what could have happened. I tried to check out for fear of my safety and was offered no apology or refund, and lodged a complaint with bookingdotcom, I have now discovered that the hotel has hacked my booking account and left a 10/10 review in my name. This indicates all their other reviews must be fake and explains everything. I have reported the hotel to Kolkata police, not only is this hotel unsafe for guests but it is clearly full of scammers and criminals - please be careful. I have been to India 8 times and have never encountered a situation like this before, I truly hope it doesn't happen to anyone else."

No Amenities provided, room was dirty, no WiFi provided. Huge challenge look for a good food place. Hotel didnt have food service."

"As per booking confirmation Voucher of Goibibo (Booking ID :- GH7P2006226869122, PNR :- 0130751413) dated 15/09/2024, I had to pay Rs. 5,502/- at the hotel (Fab Hotel Rani Tower, Kolkata). But while checking out from the hotel on 20/09/2024, the Hotel People charged me Rs. 6,120/- (Fab Hotel Invoice No. OZQ33/2425/00170 dated 20/09/2024). I had called several times to Goibibo/Fab Customer Care about the discrepancies but after consuming more than 3 hours, Goibibo/Fab people did not provide any solution and as a result, I paid Rs. 6,120/- in cash to hotel people. In this way, I have destroyed my three hours & paid an additional amount of Rs. 618/- to hotel people which is required to be refunded to me."

"Location is nice near Howrah junction and one can find market, restaurants, eateries just at walking distance. Hotel stay was not at all comfortable, there no lights on Floors, corridors, pathetic condition of rooms. Dirty linens. No ventilation in terms of Window, exhaust in bathroom. I would only recommend if you want to stay for overnight. No room service & would not recommend for families to stay there."

"Very bad experience at this hotel. 1. We had a booking but on arrival, they denied online booking and took offline booking. 2. Cleanliness was nowhere to be seen. From dirty bedsheet to pillow. 3. Smelly and stained towels. 4. Stains of spitting on the wall. 5. At such price, no drinking water or toiletries provided. Staff was very arrogant and unprofessional. On requesting a fresh towel, the house keeping staff said they don't have towels. On complaining, another guy came with a dirty and smelly towel. At checkout, instead of giving a proper bill, we were given some random handwritten bill which I am sure this hotel is doing to evade taxes. All in all super bad experience."

"We had booked Supreme room in Fab Stay Hotel In at Raja Bazaar, Kolkatta for 3 Nights. On Check-in we were given Deluxe room at first, then on protest we were shifted to Supreme room. Only a Kettle to boil water was found in the room, without Tea-coffee , Milk or Sugar...worst experience. We were charged for Veg Buffet Breakfast, and were served Parcel Puri bhaji in our room, we were told that Hotel doesn't have a Kitchen, so nothing hot can be provided. We were given non-veg choices also, that almost broke our confidence in eating Pure Veg breakfast....terrible experience. Never book Fab hotels, because thier Helpline Calls are recieved by drunkards after 8.00 PM - worst staff of Fab hotels, who informed me on my complaint that normally Breakfast is served between 10 AM to 12 PM in all our Hotels...And that guy on call from Fab help desk, didnt have the courtesy to say sorry because he was fully drunk while in office. Terrible & Nightmarish experience."

"Room is not clean, dirty bedsheet, dirty blanket, there is no bucket and mug and soap in bathroom, and the hotel manager is not listening your word, hotel corridors are extremely messed up. There is some condom cover are in the corridor path. I always recommend no one go to this hotel."

"Faced multiple issues with the hotel room. Although had booked it only for a night but the issues faced were multiple and would have completely avoided this hotel if I was aware of this in advance. I would refrain recommending this to anyone. I will put down the issues faced, I have taken pictures for proof but unfortunately there arent any option to upload pictures of the stay. (1) the walls had stains and did not give a pleasant welcoming excperience. (2) Both AC and AC remote werent working properly, fan speed switch on the remote was missing. Hence if the AC works, you dont have the option to change the fan speed. AC didnt function properly in middle of the night, wasnt responding to remote, at times the air wasnt cold enough. The AC vents werent cleaned for ages, have pictures of layers of dust. (3) Bathroom door fittings had gaps, so careful in case you are staying with someone, theres no privacy. (4) Bathrooms commode toilet wasnt clean enough, found a hair lying on the commode flap before even it was used. (5) Bucket/mug was not clean and had a stained appearance, water wasnt clean either (6) No packaged drinking water, you will be given normal regular drinking water that will be filled in bottles, gives a very unhygienic feeling (7) No option of hot/warm water in washroom (8) false ceiling lights was hanging, one of them non operational. (9) wasnt given a toothpaste, most basic hotels provide a toothpaste. Was given a shampoo and soap (10) bedsheet , pillow cover had multiple stains, again gave a unhygienic feeling. Same goes for the towel. (12) Handwash was filled with water. Overall, a horribly bad experience and didnt expect this experience after going through such reviews. The staff seemed uninterested and not very welcoming. Not sure if this is the case because I booked for a single stay. I believe a bad room was alloted to me, since it was just a nights stay I didnt create a fuss about it as I returned late at night and staff wasnt there to even raise complaints ."
