I have booked fabhotels for the first time in my life and my overall experience was very bad. Room cost me 2000+ per day, however the rooms nor the services were upto the standards claimed by Fab group. Following are the details: Pros: 1. Location was decent, though it was little inside, it was near the chennai trade centre and many other major companies. 2. Rooms were "looking" good as you can see from the pictures. Cons: 1. As I reached the hotel for the first time, I was welcomed by the scene of the caretaker and a worker smoking right at the main door sitting outside. 2. Rooms were very dusty and not maintained. As I had switched on the fan, dust just rose up as if there was a sandstorm and I kept sneezing for around 10 minutes. And my foot after walking turned black. 3. Service was almost close to crap. There was no one at the reception in the morning till around 8:30( as you can see in the pics). 4. I had paid 150rs for the extra food ( it wasn't complimentary). And you can see the sumptuous 150 rs food in the pics I have uploaded.( This was bought in plastic covers and then served in a plate. Easily wouldn't cross ₹50). Moreover they had promised breakfast at 7:30 in the morning on the first day and I had to wake up the caretaker Mr.K who left his tab at the reception and ask him to get food at 8 which made me late on the first day. My colleague in another room said it was served at 10:30 for him. From the second day I was promised it will be given by 7:00 and I waited till 7;30 and there was no sign of it so I had to leave since I was already late on the first day for my program. I told them to refund the amount and also not get breakfast for the third day. Not only wasn't i given food, but also the money was not refunded. 5. I had booked another fab hotel right next to the trade centre, and the cost was a bit more. 3 days later I was called by the executive who said that they have to book it somewhere else as the hotel I booked had to undergo maintenance. The new place was cheaper by 810rs, but I had to go through a lot of mental agony and irresponsibility from fab hotel side to get that refund back. P.S If fab hotel denies responsibility for any of these above things, I do have screenshots of conversations I had with the fab executive as well as the smoking picture of its staff in the new review. Kindly think twice before you book fabhotels and I also hope that fab hotels also improve their service and standards and I hope I'll be able to give a better review next time with them.
WARNING: DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL AT ANY COST. We booked this hotel as all other hotels near the Chennai Trade Centre were booked, worst mistake ever. I don't know if this hotel is new or was just being renovated, but the pictures tell a different story compared to the actual experience. The rooms are okay-ish, the cleanliness is not. Their door locks to the balcony and the bathroom are not properly made and is difficult to close and open. We booked 3 rooms, 1 room the airconditioner was not working and 2 rooms the water heater was not working. No WiFi, no refrigerator in the rooms. Mosquitoes in all the rooms but no mosquito repellent. There were frequent power cuts and we almost got stuck in the elevator once. The staff at the reception, Kamal tries to be over friendly and although he did co-operate helping us get food and drinks, he bought a bit for himself as well. There is a menu provided for food but there is no restaurant at the hotel. They were even hesitant to provide cutlery. Towels were not being changed daily, we had to come back tired from the exhibition and ask for it. Once Kamal provided used wet towels to my teammates and forced them to use it. The guests in the rooms on the floor were noisy and despite telling them, it didn't stop. 7-8am their construction work begins on top of that there was construction work being conducted on the road right outside the hotel. The person through whom we booked the hotel, refused to answer our calls and messages. They didn't even provide an invoice for the payment. Worst experience.
