Story of MAsan Holi
It's believed Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati played Holi with other gods and goddesses on Rangbhari Ekadashi. However, Lord Shiva's preferred supernatural beings, like ghosts and vampires, don't come out during the festival.
So, Lord Shiva returns to Masan Ghat the next day to play Holi with them. This tradition is said to represent Lord Shiva's acceptance and love for all beings, visible or invisible.
