‘I am not a shopaholic. I am helping the economy’, says a trending internet meme about shopping. Rewind back fifteen years when the best option you had for shopping in India was shops tucked into the lanes of your city and you knew just which one you had to visit. You knew exactly how much you could bargain with the friendly uncle manning the shop. Eating out was a weekly affair for most of us or you could order in. Then, there was a big bang in the shopping scene in the country that led to the cropping up of glitzy shopping malls in every major city. Every mall had at least ten shops selling the same thing but the variety had skyrocketed and the concept of food courts revolutionized the eating-out scenario.
Fast forward to today, and you can see a major uplift in malls. Nowadays, you don’t go to a mall just to shop. From exclusive restaurants to gaming arenas – there is so much more to do! And if you are not in a mood of spending money, then the sheer massiveness and architectural brilliance of some malls is enough to amuse you. Not only the metros but even second and third-tier cities are now on the radar of developers for making malls bigger than the latest. Noida is one such city and is in no way lagging behind in having its own line-up of some of the best shopping malls in the NCR region.
