The M. Chinnaswamy Stadium is one of the premier cricket stadiums in India. Located in Bangalore, Karnataka, it has the capacity to accommodate approximately 40,000 spectators. In 2000, BCCI chose their new centre in Bangalore for the National Cricket Academy and many Indian cricketers have passed out of the Academy to play in the IPL and National team. The pitch at the venue is flat and bouncy, which is rare as pitches in India generally assist spinners.
