Delhi Airport Latest Protocol: 7 Days Mandatory Quarantine For International Travellers

State wise Quarantine Policies

As per the recent update, all international flyers arriving at the Delhi Airport will have to undergo seven days of self-paid institutional quarantine, followed by a weeklong of home quarantine. The decision was taken by the airport authority in view of the widespread COVID-19 cases. Further, all travellers will have to sign an undertaking accepting this obligation, which will be kept by the overseas embassy before the booking is confirmed. A compulsory health screening will also be conducted on flyers who will be staying in the capital. The screening includes two stages: a primary screening at the airport, followed by Delhi government’s screening post which passengers will be allowed to proceed to the quarantine facility.

The Delhi Airport Authority has kept some exceptions – only expecting females, those who suffered a family member’s death, those having some serious illness and parents travelling with children below 10 years are exempted from institutional quarantine. However, they will have to sign and send an undertaking form, along with required documents to airportcovid@gmail.com.

Meanwhile, all domestic flyers will have to undergo thermal screening at the exit gates and if found asymptomatic only then will be allowed to leave the airport. They will further have to stay under one-week home quarantine.
