This quiet and quaint village, according to legend, is where Bheema (one of the Pandava princes) vanquished and killed Bakasura, a demon. Today, it draws architecture and history buffs with its ornately carved and sprawling Veera Narayana Temple which dates back to a time when the Hoysalas were in power.
