Venue History
It was earlier named Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium after the Kotla fort in Delhi. In 2019, it was renamed after the former finance minister of India, Arun Jaitley.
- The first match was played in 1948 between India and West Indies.
- In 2017, DDCA named four stands after the former Indian Cricketers Bishan Singh Bedi, Gautam Gambhir, and Mohinder Amarnath.
- ICC banned this stadium in 2009 for 12 months because of unfit pitch conditions to host a match.
